How long have you been in business?
Hospice of the North Coast has been in business since 1980.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide hospice and palliative care to people with a terminal prognosis, and bereavement services to their families. We are a nonprofit hospice whose mission is providing quality end-of-life care to patients in need, regardless of ability to pay.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a community based nonprofit that specializes in individualized patient care. Our service area is intentionally small to allow for quick response to patients. Ours is the only summer camp that focuses on grief and loss for the entire family, not just the children.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location at this time. And will be opening a 6-bedroom hospice house late summer 2013.

From 5 North, exit Las Flores, make a right turn and another right turn at Pio Pico Drive. Our building is located on your righthand side. From the 5 South, exit Las Flores and make a left turn. Drive over the 5 Freeway to Pio Pico and make a right turn.
What type of payments do you accept?
Medicare, Medi-Cal and some private insurance.

North San Diego County, specifically, Carlsbad, Cardiff, some areas of Bonsall and Fallbrook, La Jolla, Encinitas, Escondido, Leucadia, San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We are governed by a Board of Directors and the Executive Director runs daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation are from 8:30a-5:00p with an after hours service so that patients and families may reach us 24-hours a day.
