How long have you been in business?
Global Plastic sheeting has been in business over 3 years. Our founder Lee Hinsley has been in this business for close to 20 years. He is considered a "plastic sheeting expert" and is highly knowledgeable in fire retardant applications helping aerospace, maritime, construction and more.
What is your primary product or service?
Stock and supply plastic sheeting both engineered and off the shelf. We problem solve to manufacture plastic sheeting, liners, fire retardant cover, etc to meet the needs of our customers.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
It all started the day I was on a Navy ship 15+ years ago,when I offered a new way of prepping ship for a dry dock. This revolutionized the way dry docks are done today. Next came the construction arena followed by aerospace. I work with companies all over the world. It all starts with an email or a phone call and some brain storming.It's what I love to do.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
EXPERTISE! Lee Hinsley is extremely knowledgeable in plastic/ polymer technology, and understands fire retardant applications. He is well known in the aerospace and ship repair (navy, cruiselines, ship yard) fields. Lee has invented plastic sheeting products that were once thought impossible to do. He loves a challenge, and will do all that he can to come up with a cost effective solution.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our corporate head quarters is in Vista, with warehouses throughout the U.S.
