What is your primary product or service?
Team Sports Uniforms and Footwear, Letter Jackets for High School Athletes, Athletic Websites and Custom Screen Printing an Embroidery.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was a National Level Track Athlete in High School and Subsequently received a Track & Field Scholarship to San Diego State University! I Then Began my coaching career in 1991. I realized that I was paying to much for team uniforms and equipment, and decided to get into the sporting goods business to see if I could save teams money!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a small business and can move and shake when neccessary and as needed to suit the needs of my customer base. I have automated my website and order process to make it easy for my schools, customer and sales reps to place orders. Adidionally, I am very involed in my business and very passionate about what I do. My company is also very active in the local community, putting on sports camps, sponsorships and collaborating with schools to put on events.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location, with 6 sales reps in: San Diego, Riverside, Northern California, Mid West, Washington DC and Houston Texas.

VanSports in located in Spring Valley (San Deago East County); Take 94 Freeway East to the Kenwood Blvd. Exit an turn left. Go Nort, about 1/4 mile to Campo Road and turn right. VanSports is lacated about 1/2 mile down Campo Road on your left hand side (3 large trees in front and we are on top of a Dental Office).
