How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was a public school administrator (Principal, Curriculum Director and teacher) for over 20 years and have a Doctorate in Education from USC.I felt that I could use my education and experience to give each young child a developmentally appropriate preschool education that will meet his or her changing needs as they grow and mature and fully prepare them to succeed in their later schooling.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At a Brighter Future our professional staff maintain an environment that reflects a loving and caring atmosphere and the positive emotional climate that enhances every child's self esteem. Our program are balanced to give each child the opportunity to develop his/her social and physical and cognitive skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?

North County San Diego with emphasis on Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Mira Mesa, and families who commute to work through Carmel Valley on I-5, I-805 or SR-56.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Dr, Sandy Edwin Owns A Brighter Future and is the Director of the preschool and child development center.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Over 19 years we have had a great many parents tell us that their children are doing very well and are happy and well adjusted in their later schooling and that they are sure that the staff and programs at A Brighter Future played a major role in that outcome. This is why I started A Brighter Future and how I judge my success.
